Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary

Discover the enchanting Sacred Monkey Forest of Ubud, locally known as 'Mandala Suci Wenara Wana.' This natural sanctuary is home to over 700 Balinese long-tailed macaques living freely amidst lush jungle vegetation and ancient Hindu temple complexes. Wander along peaceful pathways beneath towering canopies of massive banyan trees as curious monkeys swing through vines and interact with visitors. Explore three 14th-century Hindu temples featuring intricate stone carvings reclaimed by moss and roots. The 12.5-hectare forest serves as an important conservation area, spiritual site, and educational center where nature, humans, and animals coexist in remarkable harmony, offering an unforgettable glimpse into Bali's unique blend of natural beauty and cultural heritage.
